PeriSymptom Tracker ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use our perimenopause symptom tracking app.

1. Information We Collect

Health and Symptom Data

The app stores the following data locally on your device:

Symptom entries: Date, symptom type, severity rating, and optional notes
Hormone/blood test results: Test dates, hormone levels (e.g., estrogen, progesterone, FSH, LH, testosterone, thyroid), and optional notes
Treatment records: Treatment names, types (HRT, supplement, other), dosages, dates, and optional notes

This health data is stored only on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage). We do not transmit, upload, or store this health data on our servers.

Subscription and Purchase Data

If you choose to subscribe to premium features, purchases are processed through RevenueCat, a third-party subscription platform. RevenueCat may collect:

Purchase and subscription status
Device identifiers
Transaction information

These are stored locally on your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

Locally stored data: Used solely to provide the app's features—tracking, charts, timelines, exports, and insights—on your device
Subscription data: Used to unlock premium features and manage your subscription
We do not sell, rent, or share your health data with third parties for marketing or advertising

You control when and how your data leaves your device:

Export: You can export your data as CSV or JSON via the app's export feature. Exports are saved locally or shared only as you choose (e.g., with your healthcare provider)
We do not automatically send your data anywhere

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Local data: Stored on your device until you delete the app or clear app data
Subscription data: Governed by RevenueCat's retention practices
To delete your data: Uninstall the app or clear app data from your device settings. This removes all locally stored health data and preferences

5. Security

Health data is stored locally on your device
We use standard security practices for local storage
We recommend keeping your device locked and using a secure passcode

6. Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has used the app, please contact us so we can address it.

7. Third-Party Services

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where possible, through an in-app notice or app store listing.
